BBNaija S10: Jason Jae Reflects on House Romances, Admits Breakup with Dede Led to ‘Mess-Ups’ with Sultana

Lagos, Nigeria – October 8, 2025 – Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Jason Jae has opened up about the tangled romantic dynamics that defined his time in the house, revealing how the end of his showmance with runner-up Dede paved the way for complications with Sultana. In a post-eviction interview clip that’s rapidly gaining traction online, the 25-year-old entertainer expressed regret over his actions, highlighting the relentless pursuits by fellow housemates Kola and Sultana.

The Revealing Interview

During the candid discussion, Jason Jae addressed the much-talked-about love triangles that played out on national television. “Now Kola, Sultana—they were chasing relentlessly,” he said, reflecting on the competitive interests in Dede. “Now, what was your intention? That was the question I asked. Dede was strong enough to hold on to whatever she held on to, but I wasn’t so strong. If I didn’t lose my relationship with Dede, I don’t think I would have messed up.”

The comment alludes to his early connection with Dede, which soured amid accusations of manipulation and shifting alliances. Jason Jae and Kola, both vying for Dede’s attention, briefly united against her in August before tensions escalated. Dede, who entered the house in a committed relationship outside, repeatedly clarified her boundaries but admitted post-show to developing an attraction to Kola, though she deemed them “incompatible” and got “bored” with the dynamic.

Following the fallout with Dede, Jason Jae’s involvement with Sultana drew scrutiny, including a controversial late-night clip from September that sparked debates over their intimacy. Sultana, who was evicted during the grand finale on October 5, has since stated their romance “ended in the house.” Jason Jae, who also exited in the finale, echoed the sentiment, suggesting the high-pressure environment amplified poor decisions.

House Dynamics and Evictions

Season 10, themed “The Chase,” was rife with such pursuits, with Kola’s bold advances on Dede becoming a fan favorite storyline. Despite the chemistry, Kola confirmed in a recent GOTV interview that he has “no plans” to pursue Dede outside the show, aligning with her own disinterest in rekindling anything romantic.   Jason Jae, who clinched the final Head of House title in late September, finished among the top finalists but was evicted just before the winner, Imisi, claimed the ₦120 million prize.

The interview has resurfaced clips of Kola labeling Jason Jae a “hypocrite,” underscoring their lingering rivalry.

Fan Reactions

The snippet exploded on X, with over 1,000 views in hours and fans dissecting the “chase” narrative. Comments ranged from sympathy—“Jason owning his L, growth!”—to shade: “Relentless chasing? Sounds like every guy in the house 😂 #BBNaijaS10.” Others tied it to broader themes, noting Dede’s strength: “Queen held her ground while they all crumbled. Iconic.”

As BBNaija alums navigate post-show life, Jason Jae’s reflections serve as a raw reminder of the emotional whirlwind inside Biggie’s walls, where alliances form and fracture under the spotlight. Fans await full interviews for more insights into the season’s most dramatic entanglements.
